I've been busy packing my bags, cleaning up my room and doing my chores because the last thing I want is to return to a dirty soggy room.
Shawn got me a Mag-lite yesterday, seriously this is really cool — rock solid build and functions as a gigantic torch that doubling up as a baton. This really feels like you're readily armed to fend off a sickening burglar anytime.
My luggage is pretty empty, I am just occupying less than half of my luggage space, which is a good thing. Can't wait to load it up with strange stuff I can find. Mom bought this for me at the luggage sale over at Takashimaya. It's really neat, I can basically fit myself and my corgi dog into this. Spacious as hell for a neat sale tag of SGD$240..
Kind of a habit of mine to always be packing my clothes and everything into waterproof ziplock bags, fending away water seeping into my baggage under any circumstances. Plus, it actually saves spaces by allowing you to roll out all the space-eating-air of your wares.
I am always concerned about bringing back mites and bed bugs from abroad. So, I am always keeping my clothes in ziplocks, always sealed tight and hardly hanging up my clothes unless I am pretty sure on wearing it the next day. I read from countless sources about how bed bugs and mites hang around wardrobe and can easily get into your clothes, hitching a ride back into your cosy home. So, word of advise: store clothes in ziplocks or keep them in luggage unless you're certain on wearing them.
More on bed bugs, recently read up at The Herb Gardener that Lavender is a great bed bug repellent. I'm packing my Lavender and Eucalyptus essential oils into my luggage. Better safe than sorry.
Laters alligators. Got an evening flight to catch.
