after watching endless videos about various painting techniques for the last light years, I am finally getting my ass up and doing something about it.
there's just so much in my head — so much I want to do, from so much I've seen — I need to start crossing out the unnecessary or stuff that won't turn out great.
anyway, I visited the local Art store, Art Friend at the heart of Orchard Road in the evening to pick up some art supplies with Shawn. couple of tubes of acrylic paint, primer, acrylic medium and a handful of canvas.
the weekend begins with me priming my canvas.
while waiting for my primed canvas to dry, I'm painting a box used previously for last semester's project. painting it with spearmint looking good. can't wait for the paint to dry so I can lay it with a layer of vanish so another coat of color can go on. I'm hoping I can store all my socks in it. going to name it "Box of Socks".
there's early morning gallery sitting duties for me to do tomorrow.
will need to turn in early tonight.
