tong shui cafe

my little sister and i headed out for a nice evening snack over at Tong Shui Cafe, Bukit Timah which was just round the corner of our house. it was cosy. the deco was rather loud and all over the place. but you kind of got the geez of it that its a Hong Kong style cafe.

we had nissin noodles with sunshine eggs and ham with special fishcake, lotus leaf rice dim sum, crazily cheese-y fries which was really very veryy cheesey. seriously generous serving of cheese, which we LOVE so very much. oh, not forgetting delicious hong kong milk tea to boot. the food was pretty good, authetic hong kong. the place was just nice to hang around at to chit chat and have tea/ yum cha anytime of the day. just wished they could skip those mandarin songs for canto-pop. that would have completed the whole HK vibe.

the price is pretty average, i would say an average of 10-25$/ head? there's a +7% for GST/ tax, and another +10% service charge to take note of. our bill totaled up to 23.65$ (pickles, wet towels, a bowl of their recommended soup noodles, one lotus leaf rice tim sum dish, a cheese fries side snack and 2 cuppa hot milk tea) inclusive of tax and service charge. a lot of top favorites recommended on the menu. kind of tempted us to come back for more, which we will!

wet rainy weather, awesome and warm food, a lot of nonsense yakking. great remedy to rid off that wet monday blues.
