my belated valentines

shawn was saying that valentines this year didn't felt like valentines, he decided to take me out again. this time to my favorite place, new garo, which is just round my hood for some yummy good ol' japanese food. shawn sped down like a speeding bullet just for this. kudos to my dear old shawn prawns, we made it just in time for the last order and sat till the place closed savoring our bento sets. and with valentines, there's always a little gift...

so shawn picked up a classic analogue watch from ck at ck tangs. how cute. ck from ck tangs. for days at work or at play which would permit me to wear a nice fancy minimal watch instead of resin rubber watches which makes me look like im still 14.

finally, the roll from leon's blackbird is out. a peep at what he took at liana's: shawn and i, while i am fiddling with my holga. the latter of us all, liana's mom was behind the camera. there's plenty more. but these are my favorite. (hmmm, seem to be looking a tit too childlike to be hanging around my peers and working on the stuffs i do. too animated.)

every year, fat gets in line just like every other kid asking for red packets. when she gets it, she will never let it leave her paws till my mom asks to keep it for her. she's pretty smart for a canine. no kidding!

im wondering if visiting last year was this tiring or is it just me against the weather. regardless, it was still enjoyable gathering red packets.

3 reunion meals today: 1 with my grandparents, aunt and uncles. 1 with shawn's mom & dad and all his many many sisters. finally, one with my mum, sister and 肥肥狗/ a'fat.

this is brilliant. just simply brilliant. while watching, it just touched that soft spot of mine and made me cry. and you know what, i just can't stop watching it over and over again. you just got to watch it for yourself. for a start, just get over that first few seconds of being irritated by funny visuals that you aren't used to, you'll gradually get the fuller picture as the film graduals.

it portraits a troubled relationship of a cat and mouse. written, directed and produced by david oreilly, it will be at the sundance film fest this year. sundance film fest, so exciting. i wish could just take leave days, and just fly there right this instance.

february as a whole

nothing much to say about it. honestly, i was pretty much expecting february to be a quiet low down one for the year, especially know that the chinese lunar new year happens to fall on this very month. well, how could i ever forget that i have to go through this mad frenzy of last minute shopping for clothes 'cause i'm always so busy? and i have to feel so bad after all this last minute shopping, mainly 'cause i did such a half ass job by still mixing my old stash of clothes with the new on the very first day of lunar new year. lol. i'm thrash. oh yes, not forgetting work that piles up over the holidays. you know, deliverables and the day still goes on holidays or no holidays..

nonetheless!

i hope everyone have an awesome, and i mean AWESOME chinese lunar new year. and kick start this tiger-year with an awesome good start and bang and drop all those heavy baggage that we have all been lugging all around.

and yes, this means cut away all those procrastination mental too. we happily say that every year don't we? and most of us never seem to get this off our resolution list. so this time, lets put our damn foot down and make that happen.

this means i've got to start sending out lunar new year cards this week.
(mental note: get new year cards done and mailed by wednesday midday. )

i had a very very bad dream last night.

sometimes i find this concept of "turning and confiding in someone else instead of confiding in your love ones, most especially your significant other" puzzling. which makes me wonder, what depth would there be in a relationship without this sense of communication and interaction of your daily life? weird. but people are people.

lilia is so glad. after one whole week of utter chaos. chaos at the post house. chaos in the edit room. chaos in the graphics room. after everyone has hated her for all the chasing and anal graphic amendments made. she managed to meet the sorted clients deliverables for this week.
