i think i spent so much on giving that i'm going to kill myself when the bills total up.  this year's so called season of giving puts me in a spot of giving more than i expected.

December starts now. so does my new job. same thing just another place.

im neither excited nor anxious. it just feels like just any other day.

when it rain, it pours.

monsoon season is here. spotting my pathetically drawn xmas tree(odd shaped triangle and a minute dash sticking out at its bottom) on my calender.

i visited my hairdresser yesterday. after 2years. she misses me. she remembers me, the nutcrack who insists on pixie cuts every 6weeks, is back. the attack returns. back with a ponytail she can make a wig with. snipped it off, nothing holding my hairdresser back. she simply slipped to the back with my chunk of hair, its payback time after all that useless stray little short punny fuck hair i leave on her turf. shit me. nothing to be sorry about. its such MAGNIFICENT relief. yes society, i conformed and i kept this tail for you for 1 year and 7months. unfortunately it's going to where it's coming from, the ground. i dont know why. it just has to come from the ground. you can always find hair on the ground, so hair comes from there. utter verbal diarrhea and nonsense im spitting out. must be work.work just makes me want to talk alot of senseless things to keep my mind of unpleasant-sleep-disturbing thoughts. it distracts me.

my boss called me at 4.40am this morning. it terrified me. it still haunts me. i couldn't sleep for the rest of the morning. i can't sleep now. im scared.

hooked on apps

have been madly hooked on this app called, godfinger recently.
spending almost every spare waking minute on it, looking at my people making them build, harvest gold, rest and gorge themselves mad at the taverns. been consuming so much of me and my boyfriend, shawn, it's no doubt we're addicted. we spent our recent weekends in bed, fingers running wild on our iphones, chatting about godfinger. such awesome recreational activity between the two of us.

seems like i might be going on a break. preparing for school which is most likely to happen next year. (but if you know me, i always say that but end up at working instead. just hope this time i mean my words. lol)

planning on a year-end BBQ. or perhaps a short trip out of town. still indecisive.

nonetheless, happy halloween!

strictly, strictly pancakes

strictly pancakes! with much rants last week at my office desk that i'll check it out over the weekends, which i did check it out, and it was beyond good. it was splendid-ly awesome. the magical aroma of hot steamy pancakes with that lovely salted generous slap of butter on them. heavenly.

shawn had the potato leaking cheese, while i was craving for something sweet and had the berries pancakes. oh yea, it was hella good. everything was good. just that the iced tea was disappointing. who could have imagined ice tea, was a can of chilled seasons lemon tea. who cares about tea when there's such awesome pancakes right? oh well, 5 stars turned 4.5. i just wished for that effort in homemade iced tea. still good but could be better. shall try the chill brew coffee the next time i pay a visit. and this time i shall make it in time for breakfast, instead of dinner.

2nd homes

my family and i, we love animals. we love all animals. scaly. furry. furless. whatever.
but of all, we seem to love hamsters and rodents the most. why? because for the past decade we have been putting up rodents, mainly hamsters, in our homes. caring for them and showering them with love and endless affection. bringing them to vets to treat them. noticing their likes and dislikes. the things you do to ones you love.

we have been giving this little furries a 2nd home, because their evil masters have provided them with such half-ass love that is not worthy of ranting long mad stories about them. instead, should shed light on these miserable little furries' stories. our most recent addition to our family, is this poor little rodent cooped up in this little plastic tuber ware. mind you, not that huge fancy tuber ware which you can fit one whole watermelon it in. no, no such space luxury. instead it's those little round ones which you often see at salad bars serving your salad in. yes, that is how small this little hamster's home is. there is barely any recreational space. only sufficient space for it to sleep, eat, crap, and do very minute exercises. for an animal its stressful to be kept in such space confinement. for a hamster it's worse, as rodents have strong urges to run and spread their legs. on top of that, this poor little fella has been thrown around like a tennis ball on 2 separate occasions. this story, is simply one of the many my family and i have to share.

i urge everyone, all of you out that, to please keep a look out for such abuse. if you see such activity please report it to your loving animal welfare groups (please bear in mind to do some research on the local welfare groups, some welfare groups so not seem to welfare at all, instead put animals to sleep). or you could do your part, and rescue them, provide them with a foster home till a good home can be found.

as a pet owner, please invest time in your pet. think and feel for your pet. if you realized you've been a horrible pet owner, please for christ sake, help the poor fella seek a better home. give up pet ownership as a whole till you find yourself responsible and loving enough to house a pet.

a pet is a life. be it a stray. or a 2$ rodent you picked up from the pet store.
a life is a life. it has, and must be treated with utmost care and respect.
we should be providing for these pets and not be abusing or mistreating them.

to all the animals who have suffered, my hearts goes out to you.

slipped my mind

slipped my mind that i met my friends up some decent time back. had a fulfilling dinner at botak jones, somerset. followed by some rants of our traumatizing-on-the-job-encounters over ice cream at "once upon a milkshake" at scape. which i reckon udders and daily scoop kinda wins my taste buds over. but that fancy paper chair, i happen to see off my daily mail, seats pretty-ly at that particular outlet. i'll pay for ice cream just to sit on that paper chair. go visit the outlet just to find out what am talking about.

pwoah what a month!

have been neglecting my blog again.

and in a blink of an eye, september is almost over. 

i didn't even get a moment to embrace september. it was just routinous work, sleep, eat, showers and work, and reading. i missed out on alot of spaced out, and zoning out moments with good music,  cuppa tea and good chill out vibes. awful. worn out.

just looking forward to a good days off.

our dear friend, jerald niko, took the plunge down from his apartment last monday morning.

silly of him, but he has his reasons for doing so. we all hope he has found his best pal at the astral bar he talked about. we feel bad as a friend. as if we all haven't done enough for him to stop him from doing so. but it also seemed like his heart has been set on meeting brian over at the other side. we just hope he has found everything he has been looking for.

to me, jerald has been such a character. silly, humorous, easy going. there's never a boring moment when he's around us. to shawn alike, he's a little brother in our hearts. if only we let him know how much he meant to us, instead of assuming he already knew.

dear jerald, we hope it's not too late. we sincerely want you to know that you mean a lot in our hearts. it's unfortunate that we didn't write too much in that guestbook you painstaking made. we were all in utter shock. but we need you to know and want you to know that you'll always be in the hearts of shawn and i, and many more of us. we love you, jerald. take care.

month of lazy

a hoy! its been a couple weeks since i wrote something here on this very page. came close to forgetting my blog's existence. it's been a period of busy, and lazy, and sleep catch ups. it's work, settling on some skills upgrade, a lot of personal reading to catch-up, settling with domestic household cock-ups (which is hectic! from a dead microwave, to constant pours making my home too damp for productiveness, the list goes on) and yes chilling out with my family, my boyfriend and my dog.

nonetheless, with all that (perhaps 65%?) done. i am here! yes! in the wee hours of the night. and hell i still have work tomorrow. i am here just to share a photo of my tiny little purchase from ikea. :) i love ikea, who doesn't. wonderland of color and affordable furniture which you delight yourself in all that do-it-yourself engagements and accomplishments. to hell with its durability, with a price tag like that and such swanky colors hanging around in your turf, what more can one ask for?

so there you have it! nippley-kitty-kat striking a sassy pose, a nice yellow stool (so happy to add this to my stool collection), and glasses at a dollar a glass!

unfortunate...

... but am down with a some viral infection. had a jab yesterday afternoon, followed by some strong dosage of antibiotics. making me pretty drowsy.

going easy on my stomach with loads of leafy greens, fruits and soup. just a sneak on what i've having on my menu. a little passe, but here's my smoked salmon salad which i served up late last week. generous servings of smoked salmon with crunchy beef tomatoes, luscious baby green lettuces and chucky carrots. dressed with my absolute fav, balsamic vinegar.

my bad, been neglecting this space. should be having my roll in my little holga done soon, send it for washing, will be able to post up my roll soon. :)

been quite a weekend. picked up a huge manly calvin klein rubber tote at a steal. shawn, too, gotten me a pair of aviators which i've been spotting for the longest time. followed by some awesome fish and potatoes for dinner yesterday at holy grill at old airport road. finally, knog frogs for my ride. :)

weather's been bright and sunny. hope this lasts till the weekends. am hoping to catch some wind on my ride.

endless week of perk-me-ups

japanese sweets and candies on a tuesday. bright sunny skies for a wednesday, perfect for my scheduled outdoor shoot. finally finishing mid-week with good ol' american junk food and pasta. and a new addition to my desk, a fortune cat to bring me more luck and fortune!

though not a fan of flesh imp, nor it's femme x logo (a pathetic X with a lighting symbol stuck to its feet). the tote's color begs to differ: hot neon pink, stands out amongst the rest of the shops at far east plaza. i only wished they had a lovelier logo.

quiet evening at work today, as i was the only left at 7.

no summer, more rain instead

been humid, wet, rainy the past days. was affected by the shin-knee high flood. oh come on, how can i not be affected when i live along the bukit timah stretch and have to commute along the bukit timah stretch to get to places. ridiculous rain. feels as though this island might just plunge into complete watery darkness in no time. need to ready myself with a sampan. but for a start i must arm myself with 15$ rain boots, wasting my hundred odd dollars (though 4 years old) dr martens is too unworthy. yes, not forgetting a handy-dandy bloody poncho (makes me feel like a kinder-land teletubby retard).

thanks rain. though i've been living here with you for 20 odd years, i am still unused to your common everyday presence.

uber cute rilakkuma cafe finds ♥

found some super uber cute rilakkuma collectibles and accessories over at a neighborhood shopping mall, IMM. really nice people there who brings in loads of original Sanrio merchandises. picked up 2 mysterious rilakkuma figurine boxes (sgd$8/ pop). and found myself with these 2 little fellas staring at me! along with that, shawn got me an adorable rilakkuma iphone cover. super sweet. :)

finally found myself a place to visit often, with merchandise coming in every month. orders for sanrio merchandise are welcomed too. how awesome is that?

there's a singapore based Rilakkuma fanpage, i<3rilakkuma, to check out. the recently opened up an online shop selling rilakkuma merchandise, limited but still worth a look.

have officially left my current place for greener pastures, and a slightly uncertain future lies ahead. 

it was really sweet of my colleagues to be gathering together getting me copic markers. another close colleague got me my favorite instant hazelnut coffee from Old Town and  it came together with a cute little organiser. everything made me tear. in return, a huge HUGE lollipop goodie bag for the office's indulgence. everyone in there just have a thing for junk food and candies. children who never grow up. 

not forgetting indian cuisine at tandoori riverwalk this weekend for father's day with shawn and his family. yummy i say. followed by a long stroll down the singapore river.
