popped by the bookshop today. picked up a couple of nice finds from the magazine section.

i simply love magazines, and have this pile of magazines that is piling up higher and higher every year but just can't bear to throw them out. instead i found a new use for them, by turning them into a secondary bedside table. besides, its a nice thing to have around to "impress" house guests and entertain my bored boyfriend who has to wait for me as i dress. a nice idea for magazines you can't bear to throw out! :)

i think i'm feeling slightly better now. still abit hot on my head, and cold at the tip of my fingers and toes. but i think i'm fine. least, i'm not feeling so out-of-beat like yesterday.

shawn brought me out for soup last night. it was probably one of the better dinners i had this week. there's soup, a nice sandwich, nicely fried wedge, and awesomely refreshing iced tea. if only i had a camera to snap this. shawn had a number of awesome finds at local uniqlo store.

lousy sunday

maybe i should keep another pet, to keep my mind off as many things as possible.

i saw a pair of guinea pigs yesterday for sale. they look so adorable. it's a couple, and the female might just be pregnant. so sweet, and i can see a mom and dad with kids coming. so sweet. but i think i might have to think twice before it burns a hole in my pocket to keep them.

i'm so bored and lonely on a sunday. if that isn't bad enough, i'm working, and still down with a flu and fever. yet i'm still being picked on for being crazy. how can i be crazy am i to have sudden mood swings when from the moment i woke till now i'm still the same old bored and very flat-feeling lilia. ridiculous. x_x

working on a sunday. sigh. im so upset. god, send me a pleasant surprise for me will you? something nice and fuzzy.

oh just great, i'm back to whiny and shedding tears. oh, sigh. :(

it's abit old. but still my favorite.

damn. this sucks to still be sick on a thursday. i've been sick the whole week and just when i thought this week would be the same old, quiet, boring week, i receive a call wanting me to come by tomorrow urgently to do some quick stuff. this makes me nervous.

still down with fever and my hands got a little itch.like the phrase say, this really doesn't look enough. lol. it's either my hands which cut, glue and paste the paper, or my camera or my randomness. i would like to think its the whole package. oh well, better luck next time.

 ♥ note to self : visit singapore's sungei buloh wetland resevere when i get better. would love to see komodo dragons, salamanders, all the fancy flora and fauna, and soak in the lovely afternoon sun with just me, myself, and i, a camera, a lot of sun screen and a pair of comfty shoes...

lovely isn't it? but it doesn't seem sane to be wanting to be buy myself a ring that screams out engaged when i'm far from that. so i guess for now, i'll try doddle one on paper pin it on my board, make a replica out of cheap plastic and silver just for kicks. and just sit by my bed every night hoping for someone special to appear with one.

the weather is soooo hot now. clouds have cleared up. what an imbalance.

shawn joined me and my family to watch cloudy with a chance of meatballs over the weekends. slow but whattheheck. at least we caught it. it's pretty awesome. i love the illustration. and the credits had all that attention to it. but there was hardly anyone left in the theater to see how lovely the credits look. so sad, all those back-stage people just go unheard of.

anyways, things between me and shawn, undeniably, aren't going very smooth at all for the most part. a lot of break downs.
a bumpy 4 years ride. lets hope it all changes for the better.

sigh. heavy.
i shall go bake something. knead and slap a pile of dough later. and make myself something sweet and comforting with icing that forms a great big smile to boot.

rainy tuesday once again

it's been raining and raining for the past few days. my bath towel has been having difficulty trying to dry in my bathroom. but thank god for my home having a dryer to dry up my clothes, can't imagine having soggy smelly clothes to wear all week. :(

i just have that pile of words stuck in my throat, and that hunch in my back. that kind of irritated feeling, though nothing is really bothering you in a very direct manner, but you just have that really darn pissed off vibe?

okay, maybe most don't have that grumpy cat-like behavior. but i get irritated very darn easily. and then i sulk, and pull a really long face... and then i would occasionally show some claws. haha. no, i'm just kidding. not completely kidding. but kidding, partially.

bed or no bed?

i'm sitting here staring at my bed. something rather radical is running through my mind right now: rid the bed for more work-and-play space. indeed. guests would say my room is pretty spacious as it is. but spacious or not, the deal is that i need more wall spaces, less clutter, and less things obstructing my way. so im trading my bed for more space. less sleep, more work. we can always sleep when we pass on...

something new

this is exciting. 'cos i finally got my fringe cropped off for some nice bangs by a professional hairstylist. enough of holding a pair of scissors with attempts of giving myself some fringe. and i'm giving up all those 4 years of pixie and boy cuts, having bangs and a growing ponytail at the back of my head feels like something new.

happy kite

after a-kind-of-major kite hunting, shawn finally managed to find ourselves a kite. a rather cool fact was that the kite shop we visited was moving out, so shawn was amazingly lucky to pick up this kite at quite a steal. he had 10$ off, i mean that's honestly quite a steal isn't it for a pretty big kite? lol!

we headed down to a park close by in the breeze-y evening. and it turned out to be pretty fun. more fun than expected. the cute part was that the kite had this (pretty spastic) smile that kept looking down at us as we tried to raise this fella up to ride the winds...

having that urge to go kite flying too? you could try out ToysRUs for kites, but they have a pretty kiddish range in my opinion. there's a couple of options for local kite shops in singapore, but this is the one we headed to buy-kites. the shop is located at woodlands point shopping centre, but since they are moving out you won't be finding them there any more. so the best way to purchase would be to contact them as indicated on the site.
