very last post of 2009

last lazy sunday of 09

sunday, as usual, is always lazy sunday. waking up at 3 in the afternoon. usual run through of my personal mails, news feeds and facebook-ing (and of course feeding my pet over at facebook's pet society) sipping some nice leftover starbucks i got from that late-night-coffee-meetup with friends. finally stomach calls, and shawn and i had out over to dig into some western delights at botak jones. then settling down at holland village for some nice haagen dazs in the evening.

specially for shawn, would have been spending so many countless lazy days together for the years we've been together, i would love to tell him that i love him very much. hopefully we'll be spending even more lazy days together for the decades to come. ♥

happy holidays!

christmas is such a busy season. getting presents. making dinner reservations. catching up. gathering with family. and there's shawn and my bithday to celebrate every year during this season! :D

birthday brunch on shawn's birthday and an advance birthday treat for me from his sister and brother-in-law over at peperoni pizzeria, greenwood ave. the food is deee-licious! the thin crust pizza is simply to die for. the pasta, is just awesome with well made rich sauces. accompanied with nice chilled ice tea. hmm, yum! but i got to say, the bill didn't come cheap. i would say, it ran about an average of 40$SGD for each of us for a hell lot of food: 2 large pizzas, 4 pastas, beverages and desserts.

and the feast is over. :)

shawn's got to have cake for being birthday boy. got his cake or rather his favorite cheese tarts from Pâtisserie Glacé. got to admit, its not exactly cheap but definately worth every penny spent.

here's fat getting cosy with shawn, and reminding him that she's got to have a slice of cake, as he attempts to make his birthday wish.

just slightly before christmas it's my turn for a birthday feast over at mimolette.this time it's mom's treat for my birthday.

photos of lunch kind of slipped all of our minds as we were to engaged in chit chatting and couldn't wait to dig in. but i'm sure we'll be back there for more 'cos the food was delightful and the ambience simply perfect for brunch or a nice quiet night out.


and birthday treats. shawn flooded me with a lot of presents this year. wait. he floods me with alot of things all the time. from ridiculous-ly silly looking stuffed animals to funny knic knacks, to random posters and flyers from work, to childhood candy, to hoodys, dresses and books! all my favorite. and mom got me a Wacom Intuos4 Graphic Tablet. that strikes off one item off my want list. :)

busy bee

been slogging. been working. been under the hot scorching. many thanks to those unforgiving cloudless skies out at the coastal shores. and it's almost time for some good ol' rest... anyways, here's some pic dumps i have got stashed in my iphone over the week.

here's it, some really awesome restricted zone access to pasir panjang port 3 & 4 construction sites for documentary coverage.restricted for the good ol' reason of demolition taking place. and yep, i witnessed an awesome explosive show out in the waters. sadly say, it's illegal to film it or photograph it down for good memories sake.

was there this evening helping him put up his work, and managed to catch sneaks of whats install tomorrow. it's going to be pretty rad, i would say. so come on down seriously. and if you can, make it down tomorrow! as there's gonna be an opening party.

" The most daring piece of public art ever commissioned in the UK, Turning the Place Over is artist Richard Wilson's most radical intervention into architecture to date, turning a building in Liverpool's city centre literally inside out. One of Wilson's very rare temporary works, Turning the Place Over colonises Cross Keys House, Moorfields. It runs in daylight hours, triggered by a light sensor.

Turning the Place Over consists of an 8 metres diameter ovoid cut from the façade of a building in Liverpool city centre and made to oscillate in three dimensions. The revolving façade rests on a specially designed giant rotator, usually used in the shipping and nuclear industries, and acts as a huge opening and closing 'window', offering recurrent glimpses of the interior during its constant cycle during daylight hours. been sick and down with a bad throat or rather tonsillitis to be exact. anyways, nothing too fancy about my week this week. been caught up with work and a bad throat. and exhausation, i guess. looking forward to the weekends...

trying to make it through

holy shit.

i've been having less than 6 hours sleep each night. got work piling up. part from that i have a shitload of dishes, that piles up every evening, courtesy of my generous dish-using mother and sister. got my load of laundry to wash and iron. plus my room to clean. if that isn't enough. i have to do a shity fucking portfolio to apply for art school. holy fuck. i only have 24 hours a day.


shit.
fuck.

i just want everything to burn in hell now.

sunday is iPhone day

indeed, sunday is iPhone day for shawn and i. shawn picked up the tabs for 2 iphones. why of course, one of them sets is mine! a pre-birthday present, he says. lol. so that makes us both, finally, iPhone owners. iPhone 3Gs. awesome indeed. am liking the camera with the auto focus so far. unlike the iphone 3G with the fixed focus that takes a heck load of blur shots. can't wait to take it to work tomorrow! :D
